Help us kick off the school year with 2 weeks full of color and fun! Each day, students are invited to wear the featured color to school. Participation is completely optional, but it's a fun way for our school community to celebrate together while helping our younger learners practice recognizing and naming their colors! We can't wait to see our Lions showing their school spirit, filling our halls with color, and helping make learning fun for everyone! 🦁

A Fresh Start for Our TLC Classroom!
We are incredibly grateful for our newly reconstructed TLC room, designed specifically for our medically fragile and wheelchair-dependent students. This beautiful new space was thoughtfully created to better support the unique needs of our students, providing a safe, comfortable, and functional environment for learning, therapy, daily care, sensory regulation, and independence.
A heartfelt thank you to Wesley Laney and the Cullman County Board of Education Maintenance Team for the countless hours, hard work, and attention to detail that went into rebuilding this room. Your dedication to creating spaces where every child can learn and thrive is deeply appreciated.
We can’t wait to see all the growth, joy, and milestones that happen within these walls this school year.

Today was Ribbon Cutting day at the CDC for our new 8 classroom expansion! The project is just a few short weeks away from completion! We were fortunate to be able to welcome our Alabama State Superintendent Dr. Eric Mackey, and our CCBOE State Board Member Mrs. Marie Manning to celebrate this historic day for our staff and students! Thank you to Dr. Barnette and the Cullman County Board for their fantastic support! We can't wait to reveal more pictures of our new facility in the coming weeks! #BeCurious

We’re excited to share that our new building project is on schedule, with an estimated completion date of Spring 2026!
This $2.4 million addition will bring meaningful improvements to our campus, including:
• 8 new classrooms
• A storm shelter to enhance safety
• Improved traffic flow for families and staff
• The replacement of mobile units with permanent learning spaces
We’re grateful for the continued support from our community as we work to create a safer, more functional, and welcoming environment for our students.
