Our nurses, Sherry Green (RN) and Linda Robertson (LPN), play a crucial role in providing comprehensive care for our students. Mrs. Green has a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of North Alabama. She served as a Neonatal nurse in Temple, Texas for one year and as an RN in Killeen, Texas for 2 years. Mrs. Green joined the CRMC maternity center in 1992 and currently holds a part-time position there. Since 2002, she has been a dedicated member of the CDC staff.
Their responsibilities extend beyond traditional nursing duties, encompassing a range of specialized tasks tailored to the unique needs of our students. Nurses at the CDC are actively involved in medication administration, ensuring that each student receives the prescribed medications at the appropriate times. In addition to medication management, our nurses are compassionate caregivers who attend to everyday injuries and ailments. Whether it's a minor scrape, bruise, or any other "boo boo," the nursing staff is here to provide prompt and gentle care, offering comfort and reassurance to the students. Furthermore, they possess the necessary knowledge and training to ensure the proper administration of tube feedings, maintaining a focus on the individualized needs of each student.
Our school nurses contribute significantly to the well-being of our students by combining medical expertise with a compassionate approach to contribute to providing a supportive and nurturing environment for the students.
