Ms. Martin's Class Page

This classroom is led by educator Amanda Martin, along with her aides Kalina Black, Felicia Bartlett, and Maci Yeager. Amanda's educational background includes a Bachelor's in K-12 Collaboration and a Master's in Applied Behavior Analysis, coupled with four years as a classroom support aide in a behavioral setting.
This unique learning environment, known as Elementary SAIL (Social Academic and Independent Living Skills), caters to students facing significant behavioral and/or emotional challenges. It provides a safe and structured environment where the curriculum addresses the specific needs of each student. The focus extends beyond academics to encompass social and emotional skills, functional abilities, self-regulation techniques, and behavioral expectations. The classroom is designed to minimize distractions and triggers that may lead to negative behaviors. The ultimate goal of SAIL is to equip students with the skills needed for success not only in the classroom but also in their daily lives.
Ms. Martin's personal interests include reading and playing video games.
