In this kindergarten and first-grade classroom, teacher Stephanie Tankersley brings 14 years of direct teaching experience and a total of 18 years in the field of education as she spent 4 years as a classroom aide. She has a Bachelor's Degree in Collaborative Education from Athens State University. A seasoned educator, Mrs. Tankersley is supported by her team of classroom aides, Jamie White and Anita Kelley, in the nurturing environment of the Primary CHAMPS classroom.

This classroom is designed to encourage and teach various communication modalities, social and emotional skills, and functional abilities. Mrs. Tankersley is devoted to creating a learning space that adapts its curriculum to cater to the diverse needs of all learners and she fosters an atmosphere that encourages the holistic development of each student. In the Primary CHAMPS classroom, each day becomes an opportunity for growth, discovery, and the building of lasting connections.

Beyond the classroom, Mrs. Tankersley is a person of diverse interests. She finds joy in reading, spending time with friends and family, and relaxing at the beach.
